Honest answers to the budget questions
Is the free plan really free?
Yes. No card, no end date. One class of up to 25 students, with the gradebook, mastery tracking, assignments and rubrics. Sage is included with an allowance: two AI courses a month, five messages per student.
How does per-classroom pricing work?
A classroom is one class of up to 35 students. Teach three sections, buy three classrooms. The first is $15 a month and each one after is $10. Add and drop them as your schedule changes.
What happens if a student uses up their Sage messages?
Sage says when it will be back, and waits until then. Everything else keeps working — lessons, grades, mastery, progress.
Which voice do students hear?
Read-aloud, using the voice already on their device. It's unlimited on every plan and works offline. Natural voice is the warmer one. It's included on school plans and sold by the minute otherwise.
What does a school license cover?
Every teacher on staff, every student, unlimited classes, unlimited course building. It starts at $12 per student per year. $20 adds personalized learning paths, adaptive difficulty and misconception detection.
Do you discount for Title I schools?
Yes. 15% off for Title I schools and qualifying rural districts. Say so when you ask for a quote and it's in the number.
Can I cancel whenever I want?
Yes, and you keep what you paid for until the period ends. After that the account moves to the free plan. Your courses, classes and grades stay exactly where they are.
What if my card fails?
Nothing changes for two weeks while we retry. A lesson shouldn't stop because a card expired. Update it in that window and no one notices.
What happens to our data if we leave?
You get all of it as CSV and JSON within 30 days, then we delete it. The DPA has the full detail.
