Cookie policy.
What Coursim sets in your browser, and why.
Our philosophy
We minimize cookies. We do not set advertising cookies, we do not embed social media pixels on any page a student can reach, and we do not sell or share cookie data. Everything listed below is strictly necessary for the Service to work, which is why you are not asked to consent to it.
Every cookie we set
These are the only cookies set when you use Coursim. All of them are first-party — they are set on our own domain — and all are strictly necessary, either for signing you in, for keeping the Service usable, or for taking a payment securely.
Third parties involved
Two processors set cookies on our domain on our behalf. Clerk provides our authentication, and sets the session cookies that keep you signed in. Stripe provides our payment processing, and sets fraud-prevention cookies on our checkout pages only — Stripe is not loaded anywhere else on the site. Neither is used for advertising or cross-site tracking, and neither runs on pages a student uses for coursework. Both are named in our sub-processor commitments; see our privacy policy for what they receive.
Analytics
We currently run no analytics and set no analytics cookies. Our codebase includes a Google Analytics integration for our marketing pages, but it is switched off and cannot be enabled without a consent banner and an update to this page first — that requirement is enforced in the code, not just in policy. Analytics have never run inside the student product, and they will not.
Your choices
Most browsers let you block or clear cookies. Because every cookie we set is strictly necessary, blocking them means you will not be able to sign in or complete a payment. We set no non-essential cookies, so there is nothing else to opt out of. If we ever add one, it will be off until you turn it on.
Want the full cookie list?
The table above is the complete list — every cookie we set, what it does, and how long it lives. Students never see advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on Coursim.
